IEEE International Symposium on Asynchronous Circuits and Systems

This conference began in 1994, as the "International Symposium on Advanced Research in Asynchronous Circuits and Systems." Since the second conference, in 1996, it has been held yearly, alternating locations within North America and Europe. At the seventh Symposium, in 2001, the conference name was shortened to the "International Symposium on Asynchronous Circuits and Systems"; although "advanced research" presumably still occurs in the community.
