Awards to Sun Labs Staff Members

From recognition for the creation of technologies that have changed the face of computing, to papers on arcane computing theories, to recognition of outstanding team and individual accomplishment, these awards - local, national, and world-wide - recognize individual Sun Labs researchers and research groups for outstanding achievements in their fields, and highlight their breadth of talent and creativity.

Established in 1993, the Chairman's Award for Innovation recognizes Sun's top innovators, process improvement and availability champions whose individual or team accomplishments are integral to Sun's success. The Sun Labs award winners clearly embody the innovative research and thought that has been a hallmark of Labs' projects from the beginning.
