Orthogonal Persistence for the Java Platform - Draft Specification

Mick Jordan and Malcolm Atkinson
Abstract: Orthogonal persistence for the Java platform (OPJ) provides persistence for the full computational model that is defined by the Java Language Specification (JLS). OPJ augments the JLS with the ability to checkpoint the state of a Java language computation to stable storage and provides a simple mechanism for managing state that is external to the Java Virtual Machine. This document defines the specification of OPJ by way of small modifications and enhancements to the JLS.
