Tarik Ono is researcher at Sun Microsystems Laboratories, working on the VLSI Research project. She is especially interested in issues relating to on-chip communication and on-chip networks.

When Tarik first joined Sun Microsystems Laboratories as an intern, she worked on a project that developed a massively parallel Verilog simulation platform. Her first project as a full-time employee was improving the wide-area-network capabilities of the Sun Ray product.

Tarik Ono has two Master's Degrees in Computer Science. One from the Universität Würzburg, Germany, and one from the University of British Columbia, Canada.
