Stephen J. Green is a Staff Engineer at Sun Microsystems Laboratories in Burlington, Massachusetts, where he the Principal Investigator of the AURA Project. His research interests include recommender systems, scalable information retrieval systems, automatic document classification and lexical semantics.
Before joining Sun, Stephen spent two years as a Research Fellow in the Division of Information and Communication Studies at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Toronto in 1997, where his work involved the automatic generation of hypertext links in large document collections.
