Bo Begole is a Staff Scientist at Sun Microsystems Laboratories. His research interests include collaborative computing, computer-mediated communication, distributed systems, object-oriented analysis, design and development, temporal pattern analysis, and mobile computing.
Prior to that, Dr. Begole was an Arabic language interpretor in the US Army from 1981-89 during which he served in the US, Egypt and Greece.
Dr. Begole received a B.S. in 1992 in Mathematics from Virginia Commonwealth University, an M.S. in 1994 and a Ph.D. in 1998 in Computer Science from Virginia Tech. His PhD dissertation focused onsupporting flexible styles of collaboration in application-sharing systems.
