Laboratories where he participated in the definition of the HP Precision
Architecture and was the principal designer of the first prototype implementation.
In 1983 he joined Digital Equipment Corporation's Western Research Lab
and participated in the implementation of the Titan, a prototype RISC architecture
personal computer. His Ph.D. research involved switch-level simulation
for BICMOS circuits and mixed switch-level/circuit level simulation. From
1995-1996 he worked on the application of Binary Code Modification techniques
to the creation of programming tools for the IBM PC. Most recently he has
been investigating the integration of the physical and logical specification
of ASIC designs. His research interests include computer architecture and
CAD.
