VLSI Research Group

What we do

We develop high-performance circuit technologies and design methods that enable novel architectures. We design, fabricate, and test circuits for:

chip-to-chip and on-chip communication
highly concurrent architectures
low-power communication and computation
asynchronous systems
and much more

In addition, we design, build, and use our own computer-aided design tools to help with our chip designs. Our ultimate goal is to transfer our technologies to the Sun product groups. However, we also have a strong record of publications at top-tier IEEE journals and conferences.
